Titanium is a silver-white, lustrous metallic element used principally to make lightweight, strong alloys.

The complex process of converting titanium ore into metal has only been commercially viable for a little more than 50 years, the use of titanium metal has been expanding since then by an average of 8% per year.

In its purest form, titanium is about as strong as steel and nearly 50% lighter.  When added to various steel alloys, its hardness, toughness and tensile strength increase dramatically.

Despite the many fine qualities of titanium, it remains the most affordable of the metals used in making fine jewelry.

Titanium is also non-corrosive, hypoallergenic and can withstand extreme temperatures and pressures.

Titanium and its alloys have proven to be technically superior in a wide   variety of industrial and commercial applications in such fields as      aerospace, architecture, sporting equipment, desalination plants, military hardware, eyeglass frames, watch making, jewelry, medical implants and dental alloys.
